Ingredients
- (2 lbs) Ham Roast (2-8 lbs)
- (5 lbs) Potatoes
- (1 Large) Onion
- (1/2 Cup) Butter (or butter substitute)
- (1 cup or 1/2 cup) Flour or Arrowroot Powder
- (1 3/4 cup) Milk (or Milk Substitute)
- (to taste) Salt and Pepper
Directions
5 lbs cleaned and sliced potatoes
2 pounds diced ham
1 large onion sliced
1/2 cup butter
1 cup flour ( or 1/2 cup arrow root powder)
1 3/4 cup milk (can adjust to desired moisture, add a little more for the oven)
salt and pepper to taste
In a greased 9"x13" pan or Crockpot, layer potatoes, onion, ham, pads of butter, flour, & salt/pepper until out of ingredients (about 3 layers). Pour the milk over all ingredients. Cover with foil or lid. Bake at 350 degrees F for approximately 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 5-10 minutes. OR cook on Low for 6-7 hours in Crockpot. We sometimes add butter as a garnish when serving.
